 1 Request for calibration service may also be made in advance to Commander, Portland Group, c/o U. S. Coast Guard Base, 259 High Street, South Portland, Maine 04106. Station may be contacted on 2182 kHz via South Portland Station.
 2 Station is controlled from Eastern Point Light Station, Mass. Requests for calibration service should be made via Coast Guard Radio Marshfield (NMF) or via Gloucester Station on 2,182 kHz. During calibration direction communications with Eastern Point Light Station can be made on VHF-FM 157.1 mHz.
 3 Request for calibration service may also be made in advance directly to the light station or to Commanding Officer, Cape May, U. S. Coast Guard Moorings, P. O. Box 31, Cape May, New Jersey 08204.
 4 Request for calibration service may also be made in advance directly to Commander, Baltimore Group, U. S. Coast Guard, Bldg. 70 USCG yard, Baltimore, Md. 21226
 5 Calibration service will be provided only on special radio direction finder transmitter. Request for calibration service may also be made to the light station.

 7 Calibration service on frequencies shown is continuous carrier modulated for tone operation. When transmitting, 20 second dash station identification code is superimposed on continuous carrier.

All stations transmit continuously during the time required for calibration with keyed tone modulated carrier (A-2 emission), except where noted, and have a reliable range of 10 miles. Their assigned characteristic is transmitted twice followed by a 20-second dash, the complete sequence being repeated twice per minute. The antenna is located on the light structure unless otherwise indicated under "Remarks". In the event special calibration service interferes with the operation of regular radiobeacon transmission, the special calibration service will not be given.

Special calibration operation will be made only upon request in advance to the district commander in whose district the calibration station is located, the address and district limits of which are listed on p. IV (of light list). The day, time, and frequency on which special calibration service is desired must be stated. If service is desired on both frequencies listed, the time that transmission on each frequency is desired must be specified. Upon arrival at the station on the date and hour specified, station personnel may be contacted by means of usual whistle signal or flag hoist.
