You can now rent the “Keeper John Maggs' House” at Point No Point.
This one-bedroom cottage on the light station property was built by the first lighthouse keeper John Maggs and his wife Caroline. Loving the area as they did, they visited Point No Point frequently after he retired from the U.S. Lighthouse Service.
Now you can enjoy the same home located on one of the best beaches Puget Sound has to offer. With the Sound on one side and a private natural wetland paradise on the other, we are confident you will come to love this wonderful place as John and Caroline Maggs did.
The cottage is perfect for a couple, and due to its diminutive size, there is a four adult maximum occupancy with the possibility of adding a small child.
More specifically, the home features:
- One bedroom with a queen size bed
- One 3/4 Bathroom with only a shower
- Full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, utensils – everything you need to make a simple meal, except food
- Dining table for four
- Living room with a queen size sofa bed, it also has cable TV along with a DVD player
- Private yard with a special view of the wetlands on one side and Puget Sound on the other
- Free WiFi
The rent for the “Keeper John Maggs House” is $200 a night plus tax and fees. We require a two night minimum. With taxes and fees, your two night stay will total $514.80. Additional nights can be added at the normal nightly rate plus tax, based on availability.
As with the Point No Point Lighthouse Keeper’s House rental, the funds we collect from the “Keeper John Maggs House” are used to assist with the ongoing preservation of the light station and park. Not only will you be able to enjoy this place by being our guests, but you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that your money is going to a great cause!
