2025 Australia Tour
This tour of Australia begins in Brisbane seeing Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. We head to Cairns seeing a few lighthouses on the way. In Cairns we take a boat out to the Great Barrier Reef. For those on the full tour we will board a plane to Darwin where we will fly by private airplane to see local lighthouses. Our next stop will be Broome where we arrive by commercial flight. While there we will see the Dinosaur Track left many years ago. The next leg will be a long trip down the west coast and end at Perth seeing sights that people don't often see. In Perth we will board a helicopter for a trip out to Rottnest Island to see the lighthouse there.
As an added feature, this tour is offered in 3 different options.
OPTION 1: April 4 to April 16
Join the tour in Brisbane and travel with the group to Cairns. This portion of the tour is 12 days long. You will visit the Australia Zoo, the Great Barrier Reef and ride the 1770 LARC to see Bustard Lighthouse. You depart from the group as of April 16.
The cost of Option 1 is $5,850/person for Double occupancy ($11,700), $7,605 for Single occupancy
OPTION 2: April 16 to April 29
Join the tour in Darwin and travel with the group to Perth. This portion is 14 days long. While in Darwin you will take a private plane to see the local lighthouses. You will take a commercial flight from Darwin to Broome. In Broome we take a boat trip to see the 65,000-year-old Dinosaur Tracks. In Perth there will be a helicopter flight to Rottnest Island to view the lighthouse. On the last day we will visit the Cohunu Koala Park.
The cost of Option 2 is $7,225/person for Double occupancy ($14,450), $9,392 for Single occupancy
OPTION 3: April 4 to April 29
This is the whole tour with what is included in Option 1 and 2 and a commercial airline flight from Cairns to Darwin.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Friday April 4, 2025
We meet in Brisbane for the Welcome Dinner and getting to know each other.
Day 2 - Saturday April 5, 2025
We board a coach to see out first lighthouses of the tour, Old and New Cleveland Point Lighthouse. Then on to Queensland Maritime Musuem where we will see Bulwer Lighthouse. After lunch we see Caloundra Lighthouse and then back to the hotel.
Day 3 - Sunday April 6, 2025
Today we spend the whole day at the Australian Zoo seeing all of the shows and having lunch.
Day 4 - Monday April 7, 2025
Bags on the bus and head for Point Cartwright Lighthouse. We will have lunch in Maryborough and then depart for Burnett Head Lighthouse Old and New. Back on the bus to our hotel in Bundaberg and dinner at the hotel.
Day 5 - Tuesday April 8, 2025
Bags on the bus and today is mostly a travel day. We stop at Horizon Kangaroo Sanctuary and then head for lunch nearby. We have an early arrival at our hotel in Agnes Water, so the rest of the day is yours to enjoy and dinner on your own.
Day 6 - Wednesday April 9, 2025
Today we have an Adventure by 1770 LARC. It is a full day tour including lunch and sliding down the dunes. We will see Bustard Head Lighthouse. This evening you have free time to enjoy the Sandcastles Resort. Dinner on your own.
Day 7 - Thursday April 10, 2025
Pack up and put our bags on the bus and have a day of travel. We stop for lunch at Rockhampton and then head for Rydges Mackay Suites in Mackay. We will have dinner at the hotel.
Day 8 - Firday April 11, 2025
Bags on the bus and we head for a distant view of Head Lighthouse in Bowen. We stop at Bowen Historical Society to view Head Lighthouse original lens. After lunch in Bowen we go to the Maritime Museum in Townsville where we will see Bay Rock Lighthouse. Then on to the hotel in Townsville.
Day 9 - Saturday April 12, 2025
Bags on the bus and depart for a rest stop in Ingham. Then on to lunch in Tully. On the road again and we head for early check in at Cairns hotel. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy and have dinner on your own.
Day 10 - Sunday April 13, 2025
Today we board a boat for a cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. This is a full day, and we will arrive back at the hotel in time to have dinner there.
Day 11 - Monday April 14, 2025
A day of rest and relaxation. Optional items will be offered such as Kuranda Tour, Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, Koala & Wildlife Park, and Sky rail. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
Day 12 - Tuesday April 15, 2025
This morning is free to do what you want. In the afternoon we will board a ferry to take us to Fitzroy Island and a 1.8 mile walk to the Fitzroy Island lighthouse. Upon return we will have dinner at the hotel or local restaurant.
Day 13 - Wednesday April 16, 2025
For those continuing on we will board a commercial plane and head to Darwin in the afternoon. A bus will take us to our hotel for early check in. Lunch is on your own. Dinner will be at the hotel.
Day 14 - Thursday April 17, 2025
Private plane flights will be scheduled to take us out to see Emery Point Lighthouse, Charles Point Lighthouse, Cape Fourcory Lighthouse and Cape Hotham Lighthouse in groups. When not on a plane we can enjoy the comforts of the hotel and the local cuisine. Lunch and Dinner will be on your own.
Day 15 - Friday April 18, 2025
Today we take a commercial flight to Broome. When we arrive, we will go to lunch. After lunch we will be transported to our hotel for early check in. We can relax until dinner at the hotel that evening.
Day 16 - Saturday April 19, 2025
We board a bus to take us to Gantheaume Point Lighthouse. After that visit we will board a boat for a Dinosaur Adventure - a 2-hour Eco Tour. After the tour we head back to the hotel where you can relax and enjoy the amenities of the hotel and have lunch and dinner on your own.
Day 17 - Sunday April 20, 2025
We board the bus with bags and head for a long day on the road. We stop at 2 Rest areas and for lunch before arriving at our hotel in Port Hedland. We will have dinner at the hotel.
Day 18 - Monday April 21, 2025
Bags on the bus and we have another day of travel. This part of Australia is very isolated, but we manage to stop at rest areas and stop for lunch before arriving for our hotel in Carnarvon. Dinner is at the hotel.
Day 19 - Tuesday April 22, 2025
After 2 days of a lot of road traveling, today is a day of rest. You can relax at the hotel or wander to the sites in the city. Lunch and Dinner are on your own.
Day 20 - Wednesday April 23, 2025
We stay in Carnarvon but board a bus to see Point Quobba Lighthouse. There are also blow holes nearby that we will try to view. Then on to Babbage Island Lighthouse Old and New. We will have lunch here at a local restaurant. We will also tour the museum. Then back to the hotel where we will enjoy dinner.
Day 21 - Thursday April 24, 2025
Bags on the bus and off to Geraldton. On the way we will stop at a rest area and at a lunch stop. Our last stop of the day will be Point Moore Lighthouse. We arrive early enough at the hotel to relax before our dinner there.
Day 22 - Friday April 25, 2025
Bags on the bus and depart for a fuel stop and cafe where we will grab lunch to go. Then we have a long drive to Guilderton Lighthouse. Next is a stop at North Mole Lighthouse and then across the waterway the South Mole Lighthouse. We will then go to our hotel in Perth and have dinner.
Day 23 - Saturday April 26, 2025
Today helicopter flights will be scheduled to view Rottnest Island Lighthouse. When not on a flight you can relax and enjoy. Lunch and Dinner on your own.
Day 24 - Sunday April 27, 2025
We board a bus to see Causarina or Bunbury Lighthouse. Then on to lunch. After lunch we go to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. After a rest area stop, we head back to the hotel where we will have dinner.
Day 25 - Monday April 28, 2025
We depart for the Cohunu Koala Park for a chance to visit with these lovable animals. You will have lunch on your own at the park. In the afternoon we go back to the hotel and arrive early enough to relax before the Farewell Dinner that evening.
Day 26 - Tuesday April 29, 2025
After breakfast we will transport to the airport for flights home.
