Access to Lighthouse: Station furnished with large sail boat, 2 masted & almost completely decked over. This is placed on pier opposite fog signal. Pier is cylindrical 62' 6" dia., 34" above rock bed & 23' above water. It is of monolithic concrete, incased in steel plate.
Distance and Direction: There are 2 derricks mounted on pier. Boom is of latticed channels & 32.5' long. Mast is of latticed channels 25' long, stepped in cast iron base 21" high. Boom is fixed, tied to mast top by 1 3/4" cable & turnbuckle.
Miscellaneous Remarks: Abt 2100' S x E 3/4 E from lighthouse is a day beacon of limestone blocks forming a conical pier 8' high, 9' dia. at base & 8' dia at top. Thru center is anchored an iron shaft 8" dia, surmounted by open sphere of iron straps 5' 10" dia., w/ 3' pinnacle.
