Oil: Sample examined & found to be free from all objectionable matter. It had not been filtered.
Service Lamp Burner: In good condition, & free from all gummy or burnt oil, & the wicks are well trimmed.
Service Lamp Burner Level: It was found to be level.
Plate Glass: Clean, free from scratches, stains or dirt.
Lens Cover: Cover was on, clean; made of linen ticking, hung up in the lantern room when not in use.
Lantern Curtains: 2 sets, very clean; in good condition put up & taken down at the proper time.

Rod Lamp: There was a Rod lamp, but the lampist took it away for repairs.
