Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse
Friday, July 25, at 7 p.m. EDT

One of America's most iconic beacons is turning 150 years old this year.  Thomas Point Shoal Light in Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis, Maryland, is a National Historic Landmark and the last screwpile cottage-style lighthouse in its original position in the country. The Chesapeake Chapter of the U.S. Lighthouse Society provides tours of the site, and the Chapter has been responsible for an extensive restoration.

Come join John Potvin and others with the Chesapeake Chapter for a live tour of the lighthouse and a discussion of the upcoming 150th birthday celebration on August 9th. Also discussed will be the rather unique bird deterrent program at the lighthouse. This Zoom event is free, but advance registration is required.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event.
