The local indigenous natives of New Zealand, the Maori, call it Aotearoa – land of the long white cloud, and Lighthouses are called Whare Rama or Whare Turama.

Come join us for a tour you will never forget to the “Land of the Long White Cloud”

The local indigenous natives of New Zealand, the Maori, call it Aotearoa – land of the long white cloud, and it is truly one of the most picturesque and photogenic places on earth. With a land mass about the size of Colorado it is a small island nation of just over 4.5 million people. It is made up of two major land masses (North Island and South Island) and a number of smaller islands including Stewart Island located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. The two main islands are divided by a 22km, (13.67 Miles), stretch of water called the Cook Strait.

New Zealander's are affectionately known as "Kiwis". The name derives from the kiwi, a flightless bird native to New Zealand. It is also their national symbol. English is the predominant language in New Zealand with Maori being the native language.

We are scheduled to see twenty-one lighthouses on this tour, and trust me, getting to some of them will be a world class adventure. After landing in Auckland and spending some time there we take off and will travel to the northern most tip of the North Island to see Cape Reinga Lighthouse. Then on to all things New Zealand, with Cruises, Afternoon Tea’s, Whaka Thermal valley, Agrodome Sheep Show, Maori Culture at Tamaki, Hobbiton and by the time we are done we will have traveled from east to west and as far south as Te-Anau and Taiaroa Head Lighthouse with the soring of albatrosses. We will be ending our trip on the South Island in Queenstown, “The Adventure Capital of the World” where you will be able, if you so desire, Bungy Jump, Caving, Jet boating, Off-road driving, Paragliding and hang gliding, Zip lining, Glider planes and ballooning. You can also enjoy Arts, Māori culture, Museums, visit the Home of Middle earth, The Lord of the Rings; or if you want just plain relax around the hotel. This will be followed by flights back to Auckland and then home.
