2023 Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island

Join us for an extensive tour of lighthouses in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We will see 52 lighthouses plus the possibility of some bonus lights. We will visit Anne of Green Gables Museum and Louisburg historical Fort. Extra time in Halifax will allow you to visit the Citadel and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, as well as some shopping. Don't miss this opportunity to see the lighthouses in our neighbors up North.

Day 1 - August 12 - Arrive at Halifax Airport. There are no shuttle services from the local hotels so you will have to take a taxi or bus service to the hotel. Welcome Dinner that evening in the hotel.
Day 2 - August 13 - Free Day to Tour Downtown Halifax and visit the Halifax Citadel and Maritime Musuem of the Atlantic.
Day 3 - August 14 - We will go on a boat cruise to see Geroge's Island Lighthouse and Devil's Island Lighthouse.
Day 4 - August 15 - Today we pack up and head for Prince Edward Island to see Port Borden Rear Range Lighthouse, Seacow Lighthouse, and the Summerside Range Lights. We end the day at a resort for the next 2 nights.
Day 5 - August 16 - We visit the bottle houses in the morning and then see Cape Egmont Lighthouse and West Point Lighthouse. After a quick stop to see Howard's Cove Lighthouse we head back to the resort.
Day 6 - August 17 - Today we visit North Cape Lighthouse, Big Tignish Lighthouse and North Port Range Lighthouse. At lunch we will be able to see Cascumpec Lighthouse from a distance. Back to the resort.
Day 7 - August 18 - We pack up and head for Fish Island Lighthouse. We get a quick view of Malpeque Outer Range Rear Lighthouse and then head to Anne of Green Gables Museum. After lunch we go to Cape Tryon Lighthouse, New London Rear Range Lighthouse and the North Rustico Harbour Lighthouse. We end up at our hotel in Charlottetown.
Day 8 - August 19 - This morning we go to Victoria Seaport Musuem and Leards Range Front Lighthouse. We do a quick photo op of Leard's Rear Range Lighthouse and then on to Blockhouse Point Lighthouse. On the way back to Charlottetown we stop to view Brighton Beach Rear and Front Range Lights.
Day 9 - August 20 - Today we see Covehead Harbour Lighthouse, St. Peters Lighthouse, Shipwreck Point Lighthouse, East Point Lighthouse and Souris East Lighthouse. A full day before we go back to the hotel in Charlottetown.
Day 10 - August 21 - We pack up today to head back to Nova Scotia. On the way we see Haszard Point Range Lights, Point Prim Lighthouse, Panmure Lighthouse, Cape Bear Lighthouse and Woods Island Lighthouse before taking the ferry across to Pictou Nova Scotia. On the way into the harbour we will be able to see Caribou Lighthouse. We stay at a resort at Pictou that night.
Day 11 - August 22 - Pack our bags and head for Northumberland Fisheries Museum, then on to Arisaig Lighthouse and Cape George Lighthouse. After lunch we see Havre Boucher Front Range Light and then stay at an Inn in Braddeck.
Day 12 - August 23 - Pack up bags and enjoy a boat cruise around the Braddeck harbor to sse the Kidston Island West and East End Lighthouses. After that we visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. After lunch we go Black Rock Point Lighthouse and then go to a hotel in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Day 13 - August 24 - We go to Low Point Lighthouse and the Louisburg Lighthouse. We visit the Louisburg Fortress for a historical presentation. After lunch we go to Gabarus Lighthouse then back to the hotel in Sydney.
Day 14 - August 25 - Pack our bags and head for Port Hastings ending up at Port Bickerton for a visit at the Nova Scotia Lighthouse Interpretive Center. We will also see Port Bickerton Lighthouse. A long ride to our next hotel in Truro in Nova Scotia.
Day 15 - August 26 - Pack our bags and head for Burncoat Head Lighthouse then Walton Harbor Lighthouse. After lunch we go to Horton Bluff Range Light. We then head to the Grand Pre National Historic Site. Next is a visit to the Hampton Lighthouse Historical Society. We end the day at a resort on White Point Beach.
Day 16 - August 27 - This morning we have a long bus ride to Gilberts Cove Lighthouse, then St. Mary's Lighthouse. Next is Cape Forchu Lighthouse and then Barrington and Seal Islnad Light Museum where we will be able to Seal Island Light. Back to the Resort at White Beach.
Day 17 - August 28 - Pack our bags and go to Fort Point Lighthouse. Next is Port Medway where we will be able to see the Port Light and the Medway Head Lighthouse. We will visit Fisheried Museum of the Atlantic in Lunenburg where we will be able to roam the city and have lunch. Our last stop for this day is Mahone Bay, a scenic community and a view of Westhaver Island Lighthouse. We end the day back in Halifax.
Day 18 - August 29 - This morning we visit the famous Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. We will spend lots of time there to visit and shop. We will be back at the hotel for everyone to have some free time before the Farewell Dinner.
Day 19 - August 30 - Taxis or your own way to the airport. Flights home.
