Marshall Point Lighthouse restoration update

In 2025 the Marshall Point Lighthouse Museum Committee repaired the structural support damage to the walkway caused by the catastrophic storm in 2024, at a cost of $133,6000. They also celebrated their 35th anniversary of saving the light station from demoliton where the property nearly became a resort hotel after Coast Guard abandonment. The museum opened in 1990.

Marshall Point, ME - J Candace Clifford

This spring they will be repairing and refurbishing the lighthouse tower, painting the walkway, and the keeper's house. They anticipate the work to be completed by Memorial Day, or sooner. Access to the grounds will be limited while work is in progress. It is anticipated that the tower will be open to the public every Friday through Sunday, 12 noon to 4 p.m., weather permitting starting Memorial Day weekend. While the grounds are open year-round, the museum is open 7 days a week from Memorial Day weekend until Columbus Day weekend.
