Coast Guard beacon stolen from Superior Entry South Breakwater, WI
The Coast Guard Investiagative Service is looking for information about a recent break-in and theft at the lighthouse on Wisconsin Point in Lake Superior.
The theft is believed to have occurred on or around May 13 at the privately owned Superior Entry South Breakwater Light on Wisconsin Point.

Letter on mystery of three missing lighthouse keepers to go on display
A letter detailing the mysterious disappearance of three lighthouse keepers more than 120 years ago is to be exhibited for the first time.
Thomas Marshall, James Ducat and Donald McArthur vanished from the Flannen Isles lighthouse, on Eileen More west of Lewis, in December 1900.

Erosion causing historic Harbor of Refuge lighthouse to slip into the Delaware Bay
A century-old lighthouse that has helped ships navigate between the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay is now facing an uncertain future.
The Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse, located off the coast of Cape Henlopen near Lewes, Delaware, is threatened by severe erosion that has weakened the breakwater beneath it.

Blue Origin New Glenn rocket explodes near Cape Canaveral Lighthouse, FL
Not long after Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket exploded on the launch pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, many were wondering about the historic Cape Canaveral Lighthouse next door.
Founded by billionaire Jeff Bezos, Blue Origin referred tot he 9 p.m. May 28 explosion as an "anomaly."

Looking to learn about three lighthouses off the coast of Connecticut? You're in luck.
The free event "Three Lighthouses Off New London" is slated for Sunday, June 21, according to a statement. It runs from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

South Carolina's Hunting Island lighthouse reopens for public access
Hunting Island State Park's iconic black and white lighthouse has reopened for public access following and extensive stabilization and preservation project.
The lighthouse closed in 2022 following safety and structural concerns.

Cape Lookout Lighthouse, NC renovation moves into next phase
The stabilization project is continuing on the Cape Lookout Lighthouse, and crews are now working on the lantern room and watch tower at the top of the lighthouse.
After scaffolding was put up around the lighthouse, crews began work on the upper sections.

The world's oldest lighthouse once stood in Pelion, Greece
Few people are aware that the deadly Lefteris Reef located off the coast of the peninsula of Pelion in Greece, where many ships have come to grief, was the site of the oldest lighthouse in the world- more ancient even than the famed Lighthouse, or "Pharos," of Alexandria.
