Hunting Island Lighthouse, SC, reopens May 26 with ceremony, public tours
One of South Carolina's most iconic coastal landmarks is set to welcome visitors back.
The Hunting Island Lighthouse will officially reopen on Tuesday, May 26, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. at Hunting Island State Park on St. Helena Island.

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, NC, to remain closed this summer
You'll have to look from the ground up to admire the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse this summer.
Due to ongoing renovations, the lighthouse will not open for climbing this year, the National Park Service said.

Speaker to share history of Marblehead, Ohio's oldest continuously operating lighthouse
Johnson's Island resident, Dennis Kennedy, will be the Catawba Island Historical Society's spring speaker on Wednesday May 13.
His presentation will detail the background of the lighthouse, the oldest continuously operating nautical beacon on the Great Lakes.
