Break-in reported at New Point Comfort Lighthouse, VA
The Mathew's County Sheriff's Office is offering a cash reward to help find out who broke into the New Point Comfort Lighthouse.

According to officials, between April 30 and May 14, the entrance to the lighthouse was broken into, causing the door and lock to be damaged.

Spectacular view now crystal clear with new windows on iconic Lake Michigan lighthouse
The spectacular view of Lake Michigan from this iconic lighthouse is now crystal clear.

Last week, new windows were installed in the lantern room at the top of the Big Sable Point Lighthouse tower at Ludington State Park.

Discover Maine's only inland lighthouse on Cobbossee Lake in Winthrop

'Race Against Time': Salem Bakers Island Light Station, MA, Restoration Campaign Begins
Masonry work on one of the oldest lighthouses in the nation will begin with the help of grant funding that Essex Heritage secured for what Essex CEO Annie Harris called the "urgent preservation needs" of Bakers Island Light Station.

The funding comes as Essex Heritage celebrates the 10th anniversary of public access to this historic maritime landmark under its stewardship.

Millions of midges swarm White Shoal; the most isolated light station on Lake Michigan
