Restoration efforts to begin at Hudson-Athens Lighthouse, NY
The process of restoring the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse has begun after a barge operated by Coeymans-based Carver Companies ran into the structure earlier in the week.
Officials said the tugboat company has been very helpful assisting in the investigation.

Manitowoc lighthouse, WI, to open for regular tours
For more than 100 years, the Manitowoc Breakwater Light has stood at the mouth of the Manitowoc Harbor.
And starting on May 24, the nearby Wisconsin Maritime Museum will begin offering regular guided tours of the historic structure.

Law enforcement park rangers say someone forced their way into the Bodie Island Lighthouse.
The Cape Hatteras National Seashore says it happened between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Lighthouse Legacy: Horton Point (NY) Model dedicated at Orient Beach State Park
It might not be the beacon of its big sister, guiding ships safely to land, but the "new" Horton Point Lighthouse is drawing in land-dwellers just the same.
A newly refurbished model of the Horton Point Lighthouse was dedicated on the rainy Sunday morning of April 26 at Orient Beach State Park.

Point Lookout Lighthouse, MD, to Open to the Public Following Renovations
After extensive renovations and exhibit installations, the historic Point Lookout Lighthouse at the southern tip of Point Lookout State Park in St. Mary's County is ready to welcome the public.
Visitors will be able to tour the lighthouse five days per week- from Thursday through Monday - beginning on Thursday, May 15.

Storm Aware & Prepare at New Canal Lighthouse, LA
Pontchartrain Conservancy announced it will host the sixth Storm Aware and Prepare event presented by Entergy on Saturday, May 31, at the New Canal Lighthouse from 9 a.m. to noon.
Organizers share that this free, family-friendly event will provide free hurricane preparedness resources and supplies for the 2025 hurricane season.

The Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse, a historic beacon that has guided mariners through the Chesapeake Bay since 1875, is celebrating a milestone anniversary in 2025.

What's Brewing - Moonlit Evening at Crooked River Lighthouse, FL
The Crooked River Lighthouse is hosting an evening under the full moon Sunday, which is called the Flower Moon in May.
There will be "Dance of the Butterflies" performances from 7 to 9 p.m. Attendees will also be able to climb the lighthouse from 7 to 10 p.m.

Tour of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse, RI
Looking for a unique adventure this summer? Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse have scheduled tours to the historical island light station from May to August.
New this season are sunset trips on select evenings, in addition to morning tours. A 10-minute boat ride takes you from Edgewood Yacht Club, Cranston, to the lighthouse, off the coast of East Providence.
