A faulty lighthouse foghorn has been keeping people awake for almost a week by sounding every few seconds.

Residents near Land's End, Cornwall, have been advised to invest in earplugs after the Longships Lighthouse's foghorn started going off every 13 seconds last week.

Jupiter Lighthouse, FL, construction gets needed money, work begins
Congress threw a $2.5 million lifeline last fall to start the long-planned effort to save Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area from erosion.

The $16 million project, aimed at halting erosion that has been claiming about 7 feet of shoreline per year, began on Jan. 6 and is expected to be completed by August 2026.
