Iconic Split Rock (MN) Lighthouse Viewable Anytime Thanks To New 24/7 Live Streaming Camera
For nearly 115 years, Split Rock Lighthouse has stood guard over Lake Superior's North Shore. Now, fans can watch the iconic landmark anytime, anywhere, thanks to a new live streaming camera.
The Minnesota Historical Society, in partnership with Duluth Harbor Cam, has launched a 24/7 livestream with a camera that can rotate, pan, and zoom, offering viewers a variety of perspectives of the lighthouse and surrounding area.

To the Lydia Ann (TX) Lighthouse, on a Kayak
As I peer through binoculars from my kayak, watching a great blue heron promenade through a tangle of mangroves along the Aransas Channel, I hear a ripple of water and a puff of air.

Fleet Week: Thank military members and tour the Point Fermin (CA) Lighthouse on Friday
The Point Fermin Lighthouse is celebrating its 150th birthday this year. And, to honor its longevity and its part in military history, the San Pedro landmark will get in on the excitement of the 2024 Los Angeles Fleet Week - for the first time.
The public can participate in Memorial Day tributes to veterans and acting military, as well as take tours of the historic lighthouse, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday May 24.

Heritage Museum looking for St. Joseph (MI) Lighthouse tour volunteers
The Heritage Museum and Cultural Center is still looking for volunteers to lead lighthouse tours this year.
"We have no cap on the number of volunteers," said Lydia Majewski, a staff member at the Heritage.

The history of Milwaukee's (WI) red Pierhead lighthouse
Peering out at Lake Michigan, beside the towering Hoan Bridge and at the entrance of Milwaukee Harbor, sits a red lighthouse called Pierhead Light.
Standing at 42 feet, the lighthouse was established in 1872 to serve as a navigational aid for ships in the lake and is the only active lighthouse in Milwaukee County.
