Grand Haven Lighthouse, MI, damaged by early winter storm

An early winter storm has caused some damage at the historic lighthouse on Grand Haven's south pier.

The Grand Haven Lighthouse Conservancy says the damage was noticed on Nov. 30 when a contracted crew arrived to do other maintenance work on a pothole cover.

Friends of Tawas Point Lighthouse, MI, presents annual 'Christmas at the Lighthouse' 

With 30-degree temperatures, blustery winds and a dusting of snow on Saturday, Nov. 29, the Friends of Tawas Point Lighthouse and State Park invited guests to warm up from the winter chill, while also enjoying some holiday festivities.

Members of the Friends organization once again hosted the annual "Christmas at the Lighthouse" event, from noon to 4 p.m. that day.
