Miscellaneous Remarks: It is respectfully recommended to furnish this station with a lightning conductor. A small cistern for rain water; a set of shutters or blinds for the windows of the dwelling; & som small closets.
Condition
Lantern: Everything in very neat order.
Illuminating Apparatus: In good condition. The lens perfectly clean in all its parts.
Service Lamp: Clean outside & inside. Glass chimney free from dust & stains.
Oil: A specimen examined & found to be free from dust & soot etc.
Service Lamp Burner: It was free from gummy or burnt oil; was pretty well worn & would soon have to be replaced by another.
Service Lamp Burner Level: Found the burner on a level. Keeper appears to know how to adjust it.
Plate Glass: It was perfectly clean, free from scratches or stains; but one of the panes was slightly cracked at one of the upper corners.q
Lens Cover: Lens cover was off; was clean & made of white linen. When off the lens it is hung up in the lantern room.
Lantern Curtains: There were no lantern curtains.
Carillon or Alarm Bell: There was no alarm bell.
Rod Lamp: There was no rod lamp.
Dwelling: Keeper's dwelling was clean; the paint in pretty good condition. Windows stand in need of shutters or blinds as there are none.
Stairway and Landing: They were clean & in good condition.
Inside of Tower: Paint inside of bldg was in good condition.
Glazing of Dwelling: Glazing is in good condition.
Improvements Needed: A lightning conductor is needed, also a cistern & shutters or blinds to the windows.
Outhouses: There are none

Grounds: They were in good condition. They have an appearance of neatness & care.

Lens: A step ladder is provided. The lens is never touched by hand or feet for a support.

Lucernes or Matches: There were none seen in the lantern, watch or trimming rooms.
Heater: There is no heater at this station.
Ventilation: Keeper understands use of ventilators & how to air the bldg.
Dome: Dome was painted according to instructions & was in good order; but there was no conductor.

Oil Butts Made According to Regulation: The 1 is so made; airtight covers & air cocks.
Oil Butt Covers: Gutter of the oil butt was filled with refuse oil & the covers properly placed to exclude the air. The air cocks were closed.
Drip Bucket Placement: There was a dripping pan instead.
Oil Butt Platform: The oil butt was placed upon a plank raised 10" above the floor.
Empty Oil Butts: There were none.
