Access to Lighthouse: Landings are made at this station from ship's boats. All materials & supplies are hoisted out of the boats by derrick & hoisting engine & landed on platform built on rock ledges above high water.

Miscellaneous Remarks: From platform, materials are conveyed in cars which are hauled up inclined tramway by hoisting engine to top of bank, from there tramway is on slight grade down to tower & fog-signal. All materials for tower, inc. heavy iron casing was landed thus.
