Access to Lighthouse: Boat house 14' 5" x 20' (avail. width for boat 5' 10") located on piles on W'ly side of W Pier, just S from site of Life Saving Station. about 400' inside W Pier Light. Boat may be rowed into boat house & hoisted with tackle.
Distance and Direction: 1/3 mile from breakwater lights, 2/3 mile from dwelling.
Miscellaneous Remarks: Porch across front of house was erected 1901, when tower was removed. Dwelling in fair repair it looks very grimy & dirty without & within because of dense atmosphere, smoke, coal dirt, gas from gas smoke etc. Dwelling not big enough for 3 families as req
