Miscellaneous Remarks: Keeper Gard complains of the unsafe condition of the lighthouse & states that old wooden piles over which the iron "sleeves" have been dropped are eaten to a honey comb by worms & are no longer of sufficient strength to support the iron portion of pile.

Rod Lamp: Was in good condition but not filled. Gave keeper instructions on subject of its use.
