2023 Northern Lake Michigan Tour

Join us for a spectacular week of seeing Northern Lake Michigan Lighthouses. We will see approximately 23 lighthouses in just one week as well as other beautiful sites in Northern Michigan. You will be glad you took this week of your life and spent it on Northern Lake Michigan.

NOTE: Due to the dynamic and fluctuating world financial markets the price per person quoted on this tour is an approximation. The actual cost may change after all of the tour elements have been negotiated and finalized.

Up to 180 days prior to departure $150.00 processing fee will be charged

179 – 90 days prior to departure Deposits become non-refundable

89 – 60 days prior to departure 25% of tour price becomes non-refundable

59 – 30 days prior to departure 50% of tour price becomes non-refundable

1 - 29 days prior to departure 100% of tour price becomes non-refundable Exceptions will be addressed on a case by case basis.

Day 1 - Saturday, July 15

Arrive at Grand Rapids Airport. Complimentary Shuttle service from Gerald R. Ford International Airport to the hotel.
7:00 PM Welcome Dinner at hotel

Day 2 - Sunday, July 16

We check out and depart for about an hour drive to White River Lighthouse where we will climb the lighthouse and visit the museum. We will pick-up box lunches on our way to Little Sable Point Lighthouse. Then we head to Ludington North Pierhead Light for a photo-op. Next stop is a 1.6 mile walk over sandy road to tour Big Sable Point Lighthouse and then head for dinner at a local restaurant. Then to our hotel in Ludington.

Day 3 - Monday, July 17

We pack up and head for Manistee North Pierhead Lighthouse for photo-op on the breakwater. Then we depart for tours of the USCGC Acacia and SS City of Milwaukee. Next, we head for a photo op of Frankfort North Breakwater Light. After lunch in Frankfort, we have a guided tour of Point Betsie Lighthouse. Then we stop at Robert H. Manning Memorial Lighthouse for a photo-op. We have dinner at a local restaurant in Traverse City. (night 1 of 2)

Day 4 - Tuesday, July 18

After breakfast, we will take the boat “Manitou Island Transit” to South Manitou Island cruising pass Manitou Shoal Lighthouse then a tour of Manitou Island Lighthouse with box lunch at the picnic area on the island. Upon return from Manitou Island, we will head to our hotel in Traverse City. Dinner will be at the hotel. (night 2 of 2)

Day 5 - Wednesday, July 19

We check out of the hotel and go to Grand Traverse Lighthouse, Leelanau State Park for a group tour. The next lighthouse we will visit is Mission Point Lighthouse. Then lunch in Traverse City. We head to Mackinaw City with a rest stop. Dinner on your own in Mackinaw City. (night 1 of 2)

Day 6 - Thursday, July 20

After breakfast we visit Old Mackinaw Point Lighthouse. Then stop at Colonial Michilimackinac with lunch in Mackinaw City. After lunch we take Shepler's Mackinac Island Ferry to view Old Mackinac Point Light, White Shoal Light, Gray’s Reef Light, Waugoshance Light, St. Helena Island Light, Squaw Island Light and Lansing Shoal Lighthouses. Dinner at a restaurant in Mackinaw City. (night 2 of 2)

Day 7 - Friday, July 21

We pack up and head to Charlevoix, stopping to see the Petoskey Pierhead Light. We take the ferry to Beaver Island with Beaver Island Boat Company, with a tour to include Beaver Island lighthouse and Beaver Head Lighthouse with lunch on the island. Dinner will be at a local restaurant in Charlevoix. Then depart for hotel in Cadillac.

Day 8 - Saturday, July 22

Check-out of hotel and head for Holland Harbor Lighthouse with a rest stop on way. Next stop is the Grand Haven South Pierhead Inner Light and the Grand Haven South Pierhead Entrance Light. Lunch will be at a restaurant in Grand Haven. Then we will stop at Muskegon South Pierhead Light. We will depart for our hotel in Grand Rapids Airport. Farewell Dinner at 7:00 p.m.
