The Internet Archive is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded in 1996 to build an Internet library. Its purposes include offering permanent access to digitally formatted historical collections for use by researchers, historians, scholars, people with disabilities, and the general public. The Internet Archive offers over 6,000,000 fully accessible public domain eBooks. Books are available from around the world in English and other languages. The texts can be read online or downloaded in PDF and other formats. Try searching for the words Lighthouse and Light-House as each will yield differing results.
