Phil and Tom
Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 4 p.m. EST

Last year we lost two beloved members of our U.S. Lighthouse Society family, Phil Borkowski and Tom Chisholm. Both of them made many friends on our tours over the years.

Tom was a Michigan native and retired teacher who loved traveling with his wife of more than 50 years, Darlene. Together, they visited all 50 states, most of our national parks, and all seven continents. And, believe it or not, they photographed more than 4,400 lighthouses -- probably more than anyone.

Phil was also a Michigan native who earned a master's in landscape architecture from the University of Michigan. He and his wife, Mary, met when they were in landscape architecture school together and married in 1968. Phil had a long career as an electrician, and he was an avid traveler and photographer. Phil and Mary went on many USLHS tours in the U.S. and internationally.

We invite you to share your memories of Phil and Tom. And if you have photos of either or both that you would like to share, please email them by May 2 to jeremy@uslhs.org.

There is no cost to take part, but advance registration is required.  After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event. Follow the link below to register.
